Description
The Truckee Planning Division has received an application to construct a 30-unit affordable housing project located at 10020 Estates Drive (APN 019-450-047). The applicant is proposing to subdivide the existing Truckee Senior Apartment parcel and develop the two-acre portion south of Estates Drive. Three multi-family, three-story apartment buildings with a mix of one-, two, and three-bedroom units and one community building with community room, manager’s office, laundry, bike storage, and general storage are proposed. All of the units are proposed to be restricted to 50-60 percent median income households. Fifty-one parking spaces are proposed on site and a bus pullout is proposed as part of the frontage improvements.

Notice of Intent to Adopt Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration
The project is anticipated to be reviewed by the Planning Commission at the October 19, 2021 public hearing. The staff report will be made available prior to the public hearing. The public review period for the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration begins on September 17, 2021 and ends at the close of public comment at the Planning Commission meeting on October 19, 2021.
